The Patriot, made in honor of the 2012 presidential election's swing states, is a kicker to one of the most hotly contested states in this election, New Hampshire. Try it at D.C. hot spot Artbar, at Art Smith's Art and Soul.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounce bourbon
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • pumpkin purée
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • ice
  • splash of angostura bitters

Directions

  1. Directions: Combine bourbon, sweet vermouth, pumpkin purée, fresh lemon juice, and ice in a shaker. Pour into a martini glass. Add a splash of Angostura bitters and serve.
