This Anejo has been aged for 3 to 10 years in American oak barrels. Neat is one of the best ways to drink Anejo rums, amd this recipe is from Don Q’s really gets the job done.

Whiskey Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 ounce don q añejo
  • 3/4 ounce oloroso sherry
  • 1/2 ounce domaine de canton ginger liqueur
  • 2 dash of chocolate bitters
  • 1 1/2 ounce orange peel

Directions

  1. Mix all liquid ingredients, then fill with ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a orange peel. To do this, use a peel with as little pith (the white part) as possible. Heat the skin up under the flame and squeeze the oils out over the glass. Rim the glass with peel.
