I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love a good root beer float. Have you? Creamy vanilla ice cream floating in a tall glass of frosty root beer on a hot summer day… what's not to love? Ingredients

  • 1 cup homemade vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, plus more to taste
  • 2 ounce spiced rum
  • 12 ounce high-quality root beer

Directions

  1. Add half of the vanilla ice cream to a tall glass and sprinkle with about a 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Pour the rum and root beer over the ice cream. Top with the remaining ice cream, sprinkle with additional ground nutmeg, and serve.
