If you're not turning your pumpkins into a DIY keg, you can still mix them into your martinis. At Long Beach, N.J.'s Avenue brasserie, general manager Thierry Carrier has whipped up a fall favorite into a fall cocktail — or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce sailor jerry rum
  • 1/2 ounce pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 ounce frangelico
  • 3/4 ounce vanilla simple syrup
  • 1 bar spoon pumpkin purée
  • nutmeg, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients and stir; garnish with nutmeg.
