Experience
Katie has been baking since she could barely see over the countertops. She began her career in Pastry Arts at Bouley restaurant in New York, and worked at Le Cirque, The Russian Tea Room, Geoffrey Zakarian's Country and David Burke's restaurants as a Pastry Chef before opening Buttermilk Bakeshop in Brooklyn in 2013 (sold in 2018). She's worked as a recipe developer since 2019 and an online instructor since 2020. Her recipes have been featured in Tasting Table, Food & Wine Magazine, Woman's World Magazine, Brides Magazine, Howcast.com, Ehow.com, Martha Stewart Living Radio, The New York Chocolate Show, and more.
Education
Katie has a Grand Diploma in Pastry Arts from The French Culinary Institute in New York and received a certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University.
